About Susan Desselle

Bringing Sotheby’s International Realty to Arkansas allowed Susan to fulfill her mission of having a profoundly positive impact on the caliber, professionalism, and quality of real estate representation in the state. Through her leadership, the overall offerings to buyers and sellers were elevated dramatically through natural competitive growth. And it worked. In 2025, five years after successfully launching the Sotheby’s affiliate agency, Susan sold the brokerage to her very talented second-in-command, Chris Marsh.

While this marked the closing of an extraordinary chapter of leadership and brokerage ownership, Susan did not retire from the real estate industry. Instead, she chose to refocus her energy and talents on what she loved most—serving her own buyer and seller clients locally and around the world.

Throughout her career, Susan’s greatest strengths shone in every phase of a real estate transaction. Her exceptional communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and creative marketing abilities were complemented by a rare level of expertise gained through thousands of successful transactions and years of mentoring and training others to achieve excellence in the industry. Real estate had been a passion for Susan since 2007, and her extensive past client base remained clients for life—many continuing to work with her long after their journeys took them beyond Arkansas.

Susan also gave generously to both her profession and her community. She served in numerous leadership and volunteer roles, including the UALR Real Estate Advisory Board, the Little Rock REALTORS® Association Board, and the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce Board. She was honored as Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation Woman of the Year, graduated from Leadership Greater Little Rock Class 33, and supported many service initiatives with Easter Seals of Arkansas. Her expertise earned her consistent recognition as a “Best Of” real estate professional and she was frequently quoted as a local expert in Arkansas Business and other publications.

Beyond her professional achievements, Susan’s greatest joy has always been her family. She has been married to the love of her life, Michael, for 38 years and adores their two adult children and son-in-law. An animal lover at heart, she has shared her home with one dog, two cats, and two goats—thanks to a dear friend with a farm.

Susan has always believed that life is meant to be fully experienced. An avid traveler, she has led Women’s Wellness Retreats paired with exotic travel experiences and has dedicated herself to spreading joy and inspiration wherever she goes. As she steps into this next chapter, Susan looks forward to even more adventures, traveling the world with friends and family, and continuing to live her very best life.
